Stories from real customers of Resting Paws Pet Cemetery & Crematorium Inc.
Very caring and compassionate people.
Had to make the very difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved Maggie on New Year’s Eve.
Got in contact with Sabine and she told me not to worry or rush that she would be there until 8 pm that night for me to drop off our pet.
Even after the cremation I had the option of going to get our baby that night or the next day which was Sunday.
Sabine made this part of saying goodbye to Mag easy and comforting with absolutely no pressure and no hint of trying to up selling me anything.
Thank you very much Resting Paws for your care and compassion for Maggie.
We came to visit family in Ottawa knowing it would be our pet dog Mishka’s last Christmas. Unfortunately she would not make the weekend and we were left trying to make arrangements.
Resting Paws was able to accommodate us and provide us with the exact service we were looking for and needed.
Words can not express our gratitude for Sabine and Patrick’s compassionate, professional and timely service during a very unexpected and difficult time.

As a rescue we have used Resting Paws many times to help us say good-bye to precious dogs in our care. The care and love they give our precious dogs makes saying good bye so much easier. We have a supporter who has donated in memory of her special baby that she adopted from us a monument dedicated to dogs who have passed away in our care. Their names are put on there and they will never be forgotten. They have even given our fosters to be able to be there to say one more goodbye at the cremation. We could not thank Sabine and Patrick enough for their kindness and love that they give our rescue and adopters .
Wow Where do i even begin with Resting Paws and their customer service?
The day I made my first call here, I was feeling nervous and anxious. Losing a furry friend is something that leaves so much sadness and emptiness behind
so planning the rest of what happens next was extremely difficult. I found this place online and it was the one that first stood out to me. I finally made the phone call and Sabine answered the phone. As soon as I started talking, I couldn’t help but burst into tears but Sabine spoke to me as if she had known me for years-giving me both words of encouragement and comfort.
Throughout the whole process Sabine and Patrick were very helpful and informative. They always kept close contact with me making sure that I knew exactly what I needed to. Meeting them in person proved even more how gentle and friendly they are to their customers.
I want to tell everyone that the way I was treated, and the way my little one was handled, was something I will never forget. Thank you Sabine and Patrick for your kindness during that difficult time! Thank you Resting Paws for playing a part in our little ones crossover to the Rainbow bridge. Thank you for doing all that you do with great care and with the greatest respect.
Both Sabine and Patrick were instrumental in ensuring that our beautiful cat, Patches, was taken care of with such love, compassion and understanding after her passing. Sabine personally drove all the way to our vet in Gatineau to pick her up and bring her safely back with her. All arrangements were done via email or telephone and the cremation ceremony was very healing for one of our family members. In addition, the handmade urn, created by Patrick, adorns a special spot in our home where we get to admire a memorable photograph of our departed Patches. We would not hesitate to recommend Resting Paws as we will definitely be using their excellent and professional services in the future with our four pets. Thank you for all that you do Sabine and Patrick in our time of need and deepest sorrow… The Wattie Family
