VERY kind and compassionate service, and they looked after everything quickly!

Our beloved princess, Clea, passed away suddenly on October 31 and I was devastated. Sabine’s and Patrick’s empathy and sympathy were most appreciated as was their professionalism. I was glad to have been able to spend a little more time with Clea before the cremation and to witness it. This was a very difficult time for me and Patrick and Sabine were able to make it just a little better. Their two dogs on site were also very sweet. I was too grief-stricken to write this testimonial earlier but did not want to end 2017 without doing so. I would highly recommend Resting Paws.

We recommend Resting Paws to anyone who may find themselves in a difficult position. Knowing that we would not be living in Ottawa forever, the thought of leaving our dear family member, Stella Bella buried in the backyard was not an option for us. Never having known about pet cremations before, we came across Resting Paws the morning Stella passed. The process from start to finish was half a day, and we are grateful for the quick accommodations and service Sabine and Patrick provided. Stella had a semi-private cremation, and it was nice to be with other pet enthusiasts to help with the grieving. We could not have asked for a better day, everything was done with so much care and professionalism, we truly are grateful to Resting Paws. Will definitely recommend to friends, family, and the public!

It has taken me a while to write about my experience with Resting Paws just because I am still grieving the loss of my fur baby. On November 24th 2017, my life changed when I learned that Prada had passed away. I couldn’t believe it and it was so surreal. I did not deal with Prada’s death too well but thank God I had Patrick from resting Paws to help me out.
He was very delicate and courteous on the phone, I asked him to please help me with Prada and less than 1hour he was there to pick her little body. He comforted me and I felt somewhat better. He picked her up and gently put her in a basket that he brought and respectfully took her with him. Prada was cremated the following day early morning in Woodlawn. Patrick really made this process bearable and a little bit easier to understand, with his kind words he put me at ease. Patrick is a professional who understands the grieving process and how to help your fur baby cross the rainbow bridge. Prada was placed in a little-engraved box with a certificate of her cremation and a card from Patrick and Sabine (which made me cry when I saw it). My mom also got me a necklace with her little ashes, I always think of her (good and bad moments) but I am glad to know that in death, she was respected and cared for with lots of love. THANK YOU PATRICK!!!!!
